Westwood

Westwood is a community known for its spirit and natural beauty. The “hub” of Pascack Valley, Westwood is the most populated of eight Bergen County municipalities part of this well-known area. Westwood boasts an expansive downtown as well as residential neighborhoods and measures 2.3 square miles containing ponds, brooks and parks for a true rural feel. Residents agree, leaving Westwood for shopping is not a necessity. There are so many places to go – with historic architecture, eclectic eateris and hip retail shops lining Westwood Avenue, everything you need is here. Westwood is also home to the Pascack Valley Campus of Hackensack University Medical Center. Just 10 miles northwest of the George Washington Bridge, Westwood has many options for the city commuter. New Jersey Transit offer both bus and train transportation to New York City. Train transportation to Penn Station requires a transfer at Secaucus, which takes about an hour. Alternatively, many commuters elect to take the train direct to Hoboken and continue their commute via PATH trains. In addition, New Jersey Transit also operates bus line #165 directly to New York’s Port Authority Bus Terminal, which is roughly a 95-minute commute.
